1. What fitness level should I be to do Planet Motion?

No fitness level is necessary to begin dancing Planet Motion!
Planet Motion has 3 Levels:

  • Level 1 - Focus is on your feet and learning the steps... oh yeah and remembering to have fun!
  • Level 2 - Add in your hips and arms and begin to feel your whole body move!
  • Level 3 - More advanced moves that includes a greater cardio workout.

2. What do I wear to a Planet Motion class?

On the Bottom: Flared leg dance or yoga pants are good because they're designed for easy movement. Some people where shorts, skorts or Capri type pants.

On the Top: A sports bra is really helpful especially during "Funky Booty" as well as halter type yoga top, t-shirts, camisoles, or whatever is most comfortable for you.

Your Feet: Planet Motion is done barefooted! If you have foot or ankle injuries or concerns, aerobic or running shoes can be worn.

3. Do I need to bring anything special to a Planet Motion class?

The only thing you need to bring is a water bottle with water. Most classes have water fountains or coolers to refill bottles. But you will sweat and it's important to stay hydrated!

4. What's the age range of Planet Motion dancers?

We've had dancers from as young as 12 to 75! Rock On!

5. Do I have to sign up in advance?

No. Just show up when Planet Motion is taught and DANCE!!!!

6. How long is a Planet Motion class?

Planet Motion classes are approximately 75 minutes long. This includes a warm up or "meditation in motion" and the cool down or a return to "meditation in motion."

7. What is the cost of a Planet Motion class?

This depends on where you are dancing.

Dance Studios - Some offer a free class for your first time! Others have a rate for "Drop-In" which is usually a bit more expensive than if you buy a "punch card" which offers you a number of sessions at a reduced rate.

Health clubs/gyms - Your fee for a Planet Motion class is included in your membership.

8. What kind of music is played during a Planet Motion class?

Planet Motion incorporates a wide variety of music including: Middle Eastern, African, Latin, Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz, and Soulful instrumentals. Kendra has written a lot of her own music and we dance to that as well.

9. How do I become an Instructor?

We are in the process of creating a Premiere Planet Motion Instructor Training designed and inspired to make every PM Instructor a success! Please contact us and we'll get the information to you.

10. I'd like to have a Planet Motion class taught at my gym, dance studio, school or office. Can that be arranged?

ABSOLUTELY! Just contact us and we'll have one of our Planet Motion Instructors set it up.
